This pattern was originally tied by Jimmy Nix, and we started tying it at least 18+ years ago for the local bream around the oyster racks at night in Brisbane Waters. Those racks are now gone, but I am sure this fly will be just as good around any structure at night. The idea is to let it drift, no stripping other than keeping in contact with the fly. Natural decent is best and be prepared for a bite. We used to fish it on 20lb leader to orevent from bust offs as much as possible.
There is no finesse with this type of fishing.
